Frequently Asked Questions
Pmu/ Brow lamination
WHAT IS POWDER OMBRÉ BROWS?
Ombré Powdered Brows soft shading is the newest permanent makeup technique using a digital machine. It is 100% customizable and is great for anyone who wants to enhance their eyebrows with a soft, and natural makeup-like finish. This method creates pixelated dots to mimic powder filled brows with no harsh front or outline. This look creates a soft, misty, powder filled brow similar to the look of makeup.
HOW IS OMBRÉ DIFFERENT FROM MICROBLADING?
Microblading is creating and placing 3D hair like strokes using microfine needles. This method is suitable for candidates who have plenty of existing hair to blend with the created strokes. This look is suitable for those who have dark hair and want more volume. For those who have light and fine hair, we do not recommend this technique as the strokes will heal to be a bit thicker and may not blend naturally. There is no gradient effect for this technique. We do not offer Microbalding at Inga Bailey Brows.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Throughout the years after the procedure, your skin will naturally exfoliate, and your body will naturally metabolize the pigment. All methods generally will last 1-3 years depending on skin type, conditions, and how natural or intense you want the eyebrows to look. The Ombre shading method will generally last longer due to it covering more surface area in the treated region. It is important to use SPF daily because heavy sun exposure will expedite the fading process.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
First, a topical anesthetic cream will be applied while we go over the different forms along with a Q&A. Consultation is done the day of the appointment. We make sure to have a consultation with you so that we have a clear understanding of what you want. Feel free to do more research prior to the appointment in order to be more knowledgeable, and confident in your decision moving forward. Once the consultation is over, we will take our time on shaping the perfect brows and selecting a pigment customized just for you. The powdering technique will start after you are happy with the shape. The tattoo treatment itself will take about 1 hour for both eyebrows. Please keep in mind, that being indecisive will take away time from your session. Please be prepared by providing photos of your ideal brow shape at the appointment. The appointment will take about 2 hours.
DO I GET TO SEE AND CHOOSE MY OWN EYEBROW SHADE?
Yes, you will customize the shape and color. We will work with you and ask what your preferences are. We help guide you by giving you our expert opinions, but the decision will ultimately be yours.
IS THE PROCESS PAINFUL?
A topical anesthetic will be applied before and during the procedure to minimize any discomfort. The pain level is minimal to none for most clients.
WHO SHOULD HAVE THIS ENHANCEMENT AND WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Semi-permanent eyebrows are great for those who want to redefine their eyebrows. Whether you have naturally thin brows, or your brow-ends are fading with age. The technique we use has the ability to add volume and color to your eyebrows. We are able to reshape your brows by adding a larger or smaller angle to your arch or more detail to your ends and this is completely customized to your own preferences. This procedure is great for anyone who wants perfect eyebrows 24/7.
WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE?
During the healing time, it is crucial to avoid getting the eyebrows wet even by sweat. Heavy sun exposure could also impact the healing process of your brows. Heavy sun exposure will cause early signs of scarring during this fragile state of your skin. Please keep your makeup only on the perimeter of the eyebrows during this time and avoid penciling in your eyebrows until they are completely peeled & healed. Specific aftercare ointment and instructions will be sent home with you.
WHAT IS THE HEALING TIME?
We highly recommend booking an appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event. The average healing time is about 7-14 days but for few, may take longer. No down time is needed. You can certainly go to work the day after. Color boosts and touch ups are recommended for optimal results and are booked as needed.
IS THIS PROCEDURE SAFE?
This method is completely safe and less invasive than a body tattoo. Proper aftercare is advised for desired results. All materials used are medically pre-sterilized, sealed, and brand new for each client. Here at Inga Bailey Brows, we follow OSHA standards for safe handling of blood and bodily fluids. We wrap everything to avoid cross contamination. Your safety is our first priority.

What Is Brow Lamination?
Just like getting your hair chemically treated, brow lamination changes the texture of your eyebrow hair. The result is a better, sleeker brow. “Brow Lamination is a professional service that relaxes and straightens the brow hairs, so they can be easily repositioned into a full, lifted shape. Because brow lamination removes the natural bend or curve of the hair, the hairs can easily be repositioned and fanned out which helps give the illusion of fullness. The service is ideal for nearly all types of brows, from those with fine, thin hair structures to brows that are coarser and thicker.
How Long Does Brow Lamination Last?
Most of the time, brow lamination lasts between six and eight weeks. However, it can also last longer or shorter depending on how the hair grows naturally. It’s also important to be extremely careful after the initial service. The less water applied to the brows the longer the chemicals will last on each hair, extending the period of time you can benefit from the service.
How Much Does Brow Lamination Cost?
The price point for this service is usually between $80 and $120. which includes the clean-up of the brow using a razor.
What to Expect During Brow Lamination
The three-step process can take anywhere between thirty and fifty minutes. Step one is the lifting process: This is when the perming solution is applied. Your technician will evenly apply a straightening solution while brushing up the hairs. A small piece of plastic wrap will cover the brows while the solution is processing. This solution opens the hair follicles, straightening and shaping the brows.
Step two is the setting lotion, which is applied in a similar manner to step one. And last is setting the brows: The brows will be brushed into place, a nourishing oil applied, and any unwanted hairs can be trimmed or plucked.
Brow Lamination Aftercare
The good news is that there isn’t a lot of aftercare involved in brow lamination. Still, you want to make sure you do the work to keep your brows looking their best. Since your hairs have been chemically treated, we encourage clients to use a conditioning oil on their brow hairs each night in conjunction with their nightly skincare routine to keep them healthy and hydrated. Oil is given with each service to make sure you have what is needed to properly care for the Brows.
Avoid applying makeup to the treated area for 24 to 32 hours to avoid stripping the chemical before it’s had a chance to set. Also recommend avoiding soaking the brows with water for long periods of time when not necessary.
